Wakasaya, the casual Japanese comfort food spot in Little Tokyo's Village Plaza, will soon become Maruya, a ramen joint owned by one Masahiro Oshima. At the moment, only an owner transfer from the ABC shows any relevant information, but the place is licensed for a 41 beer and wine in one of the most pedestrian-friendly blocks in the city. As a note, this Maruya has no relationship to the Edo-style sushi restaurant in San Francisco. No word on when the switch-over will take place.
