Amalfi, the longstanding Italian spot on La Brea is sticking around for now, but a new entity called Populus Felix might be taking its place, according to this ABC listing. Previously run by Mark Sweeney, who was also involved in the upstairs music venue part of the place, a new entity called Nclusive Hospitality is now applying to take over the 47 license. A phone call to the restaurant denied this news, but the ABC does have matching addresses as well as records indicating the changeover. No word on the face behind the new operation. Have any clues?
