Mozza: Let the Debate Begin

The days were paved with saliva awaiting the opening of Pizzeria Mozza, the brainchild of Mario Batali, Nancy Silverton and Joe Bastianich. News started spreading in March 2006; nay, even August 2005. We've been, so have our brethren. But it's time to release the Hounds. Our favorite comment on Chowhound thus far:

Love it or loathe it, Mozza is yet another chimeric Californian pizzastein with a particularly bready focus due to the Silverton influence.
Is Mozza pizza, or is it just good bread with delectable toppings? Will this dissuade the lines, the "we only have 5pm or 11pm open" reservations? More importantly, will days be counted for the opening of Osteria Mozza, the counterpart set to debut in early 2007, or will we all lose interest? Discuss.
