EaterWire: Carl's Jr. wine list, David Lynch coffee, pancake overload at TART, more

· The commercial for Carl's Jr. and the Maloof brothers actually caught our attention when we first saw it; the one where the Palms Hotel owners are eating sloppy burgers and drinking a bottle of Bordeaux for the $6000 combo meal. Cute. Clever. Vegas. Funny. But now, Carl's Jr. is taking it too far and recommending all sorts of wines to pair with their menu. [Gridskipper]

· Director David Lynch launching a signature cup of coffee? Could there be a more perfect marketing ploy? [The Knife]

· We got a press release for a new promotion at TART, the restaurant at the Farmer's Daughter Hotel, which almost one-ups Denny's for breakfast: all-you-can-eat pancakes for $4.95 everyday. We realize that using the words "promotion" and "all-you-can-eat" in the same sentence reeks of desperation for any restaurant, but we said it, not them.[EaterWire Inbox]

· Coming soon: Another NYC web import wields its urban head in LA next month. Thrillist LA, a Daily Candy-esque newsletter and website for the laddie-mag set will be helmed by local music guru Jeff Miller. In their words, it's: "a daily e-mail for guys, by guys, covering the things guys care about... you'll get one shot of the best the city has to offer -- from glutting yourself on the Valley's top T-bone, to rabidly cheering for your pegleggy hero at a moat-encircled pirate fight."
