EaterWire: The Continental Now Hokusai, Tiki Tear Downs, Five Chefs/One Night, How Not to Get a Res at Mozza

· A tipster sends word that The Continental, once owned by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, closed, and a new sushi spot, Hokusai opens this Friday in its place. · Five of L.A.'s top chefs are planning a series of collaborative dinners in the coming months. Michael Cimarusti from Providence, Piero Selvaggio from Valentino, Josiah Citrin from Melisse, David LeFevre from Water Grill, and Christophe Eme from Ortolan will all show up at one of the other's restaurant for one night and prepare a dish for a five-course tasting menu. No dates, times, prices set yet, but surely this will be one hot ticket. [EaterWire; Chowhound]

· No more Trader Vic's mai tais for LA: The restaurant will be replaced with a Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. Grab eight of your favorite friends and work that cocktail list from top to bottom before it's too late. [Curbed LA]
