The diner looks and acts its age, a quick-stop spot for simple, cheap fare and occasionally grumpy service. The staff is full of lifers: Manager Charlie Collins logs in 50 years with the restaurant this year, Victor Vetayases has worked there 35 years, and Gordon Teske, more than 40.
