The Los Angeles Times devotes several thousand words of praise to Laurent Tourondel, who doesn't even have a restaurant in LA yet. Not surprising, it's New York-based writer Regina Schrambling cooing and ahhing over the New York-based BLT empire and Tourondel's new cookbook, while dripping eensy-teensy hints on what's in store for the BLT Steak (similar menu, more fish; chef Marc Forgione at the helm) opening on Sunset Boulevard this winter. It's a shame Schrambling doesn't write about LA chefs or the local restaurant scene with the same gusto. [LAT/EaterWire]
