Lest anyone forget the trials and tribulations Hung went through just to win Top Chef, we just got word that Hung's winning TC dinner will be available at his current place of employment (at least for now), Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace, starting this Friday. On one hand, it's incredibly self-indulgent, no? Oui. On the other, it is Vegas and not exploiting capitalizing on the win is practically against the law. So for those who want to release their inner Padma, Tom, Ted or Gail, four courses, $120 per person, only served in the Bubbles Lounge, the new more casual part of Guy Savoy, is waiting for you. The menu: Hamachi, Potato Chips, Tomato Vinaigrette & Olive Oil Powder; Prawns with a Palm Sugar Coconut Glaze, Cucumber Radish Salad and Ocean Scented Rice; Duck with Truffle Scented Broth & Mushroom Ragout; Chocolate Cake with Raspberry and Nougoutine Tuile.
From the mouthpiece: "There has been some discussion about whether to change the dessert or not, but as of right now, it looks like the original (divisive) dessert is going to stay." Wait, it gets better. NOW we're told that "CP executives are tasting it on Friday for lunch, and if they have any changes, it’ll be delayed a day or so." Wait, isn't this supposed to be Hung's winning meal? If there's one thing we learned about Hung this season, he does not like to be told his food isn't good enough.
