Post-Plywood: Osteria La Buca Expansion

New, 2 comments

As The Knife noted, Osteria La Buca is almost ready to debut its expanded new look: "Big windows facing Melrose Avenue; high ceilings; love the wine-bottle chandeliers (there's two); free of any Dodd Mitchellian touches (hurrah!)." There's no Dodd Mitchell because Kris Keith is the designer, who says they're still working on decor elements plus they want to update the original dining room (a nip, a tuck, a new coat of paint), but everything should be really ready by December. The new dining room isn't technically open, but the owners have been using it for spill-over (under the radar) until the city signs off on all the permits. So it's officially unofficially open.
