NYC's famous Joe's Pizza finally opened this weekend. Some customers were lucky enough to get a slice on Friday night, but not until 7pm or so. But Saturday the doors were open, the ovens fired up, and slices sliced. Pizza is so subjective, but consesus so far: It's exactly what New York pizza should be, and yet, it doesn't live up to what's promised; it's good if you live in the neighborhood, but not good enough to battle busy Santa Monica parking structures. So basically, you have to go see for yourself. Like any good New York pizzeria should, Joe's stays open until 2am on weekends. More coverage here.
