With all the Whole Foods hooplah last week, we almost overlooked that Owen's Market reopened. Celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss bought the longstanding neighborhood market, renovated it, and got some event buddies to sell their wares in the shop. There's prepared foods from catering company Kitchen for Exploring Foods; sweets by the Cake Divas; the first Los Angeles outlet for Montana Legend meats; and flowers by Mark's Garden. It's like an Oprah party in a grocery bag. Home delivery is a specialty (probably Westside only).
