S Bar Responds to Getting Dissed at the Door

New, 2 comments

It seems as though our reader who couldn't get into S Bar last week made some waves at SBE. Meetings were held, discussions were had, and here, the resulting 'official' statement:

We apologize for any recent issues regarding access to the lounge and are doing our best to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the venue on a given night. However, given the intimate setting, capacity may inevitably become an issue on occasion, and guests may be asked to wait for admittance. Due to the incredible response to S Bar in the past two weeks, we have also re-evaluated the best operating procedures for the enjoyment and safety of all our patrons. While we still aim to adhere as much as possible to a 'first come, first serve' policy, we will be accepting limited advance reservations for groups of up to 8 people, available by calling 323-957-2279. As with all SBE venues, S Bar management reserves the right to enforce a casual chic dress code and asks that patrons dress in an appropriate manner when visiting the venue.
The gist: Dress to impress, leave the frat buddies at the house, and don't piss off the door guys. There's nothing new here, and it doesn't exactly address why reader Justin and his crew got dissed at the door, but there you have it.
