While the reason for its closure is still, ahem, not being discussed, home of the Vanity Fair Oscar party and land of storied Industry power lunches, Morton's, will close its doors after dinner service on December 22. Because they need to clear out by January, there's only one way to get rid of everything fast: Garage sale. According to the LAT everything in the restaurant will be for sale from December 24 to January 2. Consider a nice planter or a Jack Nicholson bar stool for a last-minute gift. Craft, the new Industry heavyweight, has been tapped to host Vanity Fair Oscar party in 2008. (Morton's bonus reading: Nikki Finke has a great look back at the restaurant's legacy.)
