Eater Inside: Sideways Lounge

Behold: Sideways Lounge, the reincarnated Sterling Steakhouse in Hollywood. Still owned by Chris Breed and crew, the space is more intimate with fabric swathed along the ceilings, lowered lamps, and dimly lit nooks and corners created by decorative wooden screens, plus banquette tables and booths for the non-loungers. Chef Andrew Pastore created a small-plates, lounge-friendly menu, so no wasting a whole steak just to get access to the Cabana Club next door---there is no more direct access to the club next door. Sommelier Jonathan Mitchell created wine tasting flights to go along with the theme.
