Eater Dish: e3rd Steakhouse Downtown, The Dive in Hollywood

Here we have today's Dish, our look at notable openings around town. See some doors swing open? Let us know.

Downtown: You have to love a restaurant that's upfront about the soft opening. It screams, "We're not perfect yet, we're still getting our shit together, cut us some slack," and there's nothing wrong with that. e3rd Steakhouse is now open downtown, and that's pretty much what owner Jason Ha is saying. With the full opening on March 1 (full bar, menu, the works), if you go before Feb. 28 and try the special tasting menu, you'll get a free entrée voucher for Ha's other downtown restaurant, Zip Fusion Sushi. Sure, bribery works. [EaterWire]

Hollywood: Highland Grounds has officially reopened as The Dive, at least after the Feb. 8 grand opening. According to the website: "It turns Tinseltown into Down Home Hollywood." Great. But why we're going? Bartender extraordinaire Josh Curtis, who mixed and muddled his way through Vida, Jar and Hungry Cat. [EaterWire Inbox]
