If you're going to put up a ton of plywood on a busy corner, might as well make it interesting. Here we see the shuttered Authentic Cafe, which will soon become Terroni, with new covers on the windows. Last time we stopped by, it was shoddily papered. After a little investigative work, we established that the Toronto-based Terroni is backed by LA's Shereen Arazm, who also owns Shag and several Dolce Group venues. Is the plywood to keep the sneaks out---like us---out or is it because Arazm is working on another new project first, Parc in the former BlackSteel space, and she wanted Terroni protected from the elements? Phase #3: Graffiti-covered plywood.
