Dish Special Edition: Suki 7 Joins P6 and Chapter8

A special Dish for the Eaters who live way the hell out there, as many do. Remember, we loves to know what's open in any part of town. Drop us a line.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE: It's not every day that we get to report on the happenings out that way, but Suki 7, the new Asian-inspired/sushi spot from the boys who own P6 and Chapter 8, opens tonight. The Finefrock brothers and their 2K5 group are known for bringing a Hollywood aesthetic to that area (case in point: Chapter 8 looks more like a Vegas lounge than an Agoura Hills steakhouse), and this latest is another perfect example. The unofficial official verbage we received calls it "the ultimate dining destination spot for modern Japanese cuisine and late night entertainment." That means three dining rooms, two bars, outdoor patios with buddhas, fire pits, waterfalls, some crazy light fixtures that individually pulse to the beat of a DJ (only for Friday and Saturday nights), and robata and sushi bars. Executive chef Katsuo "Naga" Nagasawa garnered praise from his 10 years at Cafe del Rey. According to a local paper, the Finefrocks and 2K5 have their sights on LA or Las Vegas for the next ventures.
