LOS ANGELES—While plans for his first WeHo location are still in motion, Gordon Ramsay is planning a second LA-area restaurant with soon-to-be-locals David and Victoria Beckham. The team is on the lookout for a location while Victoria, a devout vegetarian, is already insisting the menu contains a variety of veggie options. We can see it now...an upscale curry joint named Posh Spice. [Caterer Search]
DOWNTOWN—Details are still sketchy for Cedd Moses' uberexclusive new club, The Doheny--members only, somewhere near Staples, best mixologist in the universe--but one very discouraging rumor has surfaced. Apparently Moses will require a fingerprint scan for patrons to gain access. So much for taking advantage of that private concierge service. [EaterWire Inbox]
BRENTWOOD—Dish Special: Zu Robata opens in a sleek space where chef Ricardo Zarate does the robata using low-smoke Binchotan charcoal. The entire back wall is lined with vats of fruit-infused soju with seasonal flavors like watermelon and pineapple. [UrbanDaddy]
DOWNTOWN—The 27th annual Picnic des Chefs will be serving pâté and other odd-smelling French items in Elysian Park on Sunday, June 3. The Club Culinaire of French Cuisine will have 20 local chefs manning the stoves, including Josie LeBalch, Bruno Lopez and Christian Monchatre. The all-day fest features a French DJ, and we're pretty sure the wine will be flowing like wine. Tickets are $50 at clubculinaire.org. [LA Downtown News]
