EaterWire: Dinner with Prince, Wolfgang Puck's Red 7, Ciudad's Summer Nights, and MORE

HOLLYWOOD: And you thought we were obsessed with Pinkberry. We're absolutely beside ourself about this news: Prince will perform at the Hotel Roosevelt for seven shows, beginning THIS SATURDAY, June 23 (other dates are 24, 28, 39, 30, and two more TBA) VIP tickets include dinner, yes din-ner, at the Dakota restaurant with Prince's personal chef, Lena Morgan. Anyone have an extra $3121 laying around? We make a great dinner date. Promise. Email 3121HRH@ThompsonHotels.com for VIP tickets. [EaterWire Inbox]

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Wolfgang Puck opened his new restaurant, Red Seven, at the Pacific Design Center today. Although it's in the Blue Building, the name pays homage to the PDC's planned Red Building, and it's Puck's seventh restaurant in LA. According to the official PR verbage, the menu is Asian-influenced with locally produced, in-season ingredients, heavy on the seafood. Lee Hefter played a prominent role in the development of Red Seven (as he did at Cut), and chef de cuisine is Yoshinori Kojima, also the exec chef of PDC. Red Seven is currently only open for lunch. WEST HOLLYWOOD: As predictably noted in Daily Candy today (complete with "one is the loneliest number" cliché), ONE Sunset opens tomorrow. But tonight, it's the grand opening party, and if you want to believe this very random gossip site, Jennifer Aniston will be there. Does this have any bearing on whether the food is good or not? No. But we'll just have to see for ourselves what's more important at One: Cocktails or Chris Ennis' food. [EaterWire Inbox]

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Our friends at Bin 8945 are celebrating the one-year anniversary this month by welcoming opening chef Matt Carpenter back to the kitchen for one night only. This Sunday, June 24. [EaterWire Inbox]

DOWNTOWN: The Latin-infused Ciudad touched up the bar area recently. It's now a bit larger with a square bar in the center, all the more room for downing mojitos with. To celebrate, the restaurant is serving a late-night menu and happy hour drink specials ($4 mojitos!) throughout the summer. Wed-Thu 9pm-11pm, and Fri-Sat 9pm to 12am. [EaterWire Inbox]
