Eater PSA: Green Party at Dave Lieberman's House, and the Tofu Festival

These Eater Public Service Announcements are working for us, so we'll try to do some every week. If there's a dining or drinking event that we think is worth parting with hard-earned cash for, you'll find it here.

WEDNESDAY: Sponsored by Food & Wine, the Food Network's Dave Lieberman hosts a "green" cocktail party at his Hollywood Hills home. Local chef's Akasha Richmond (Akasha), Sang Yoon (Father's Office), Dominique Crenn (Abode), and Michael Cimarusti (Providence) contribute to the menu. Sounds much swankier than Lieberman's days in his hip, New York bachelor pad. Proceeds go to F&W's Grow For Good initiative, which supports local farms and sustainable agriculture. Only a few tickets are still available. [August 15, location announced to ticket holders, $100 per person, 646.366.8644]

THIS WEEKEND: Like it jiggly and wiggly, fried, stuffed, pureed? The annual Tofu Festival takes place in Little Tokyo Saturday and Sunday. New this year: Tofu, the blogger. [Aug 18, 12pm-8pm; Aug 19, 12pm-6pm; $5 entrance fee, food and bev tickets extra; S. San Pedro St. & E. 2nd St.]
