Boa at the Grafton
WEST HOLLYWOOD: The Innovative Dining Group is busy these days. First we found out about Luckyfish, then we hear one of the partners will open his own project downtown. Now there's a rumor that the group wants to move BOA Steakhouse from the Grafton to another Sunset Strip location. IDG reps neither confirm nor deny but say, "We are working on a large and exciting project on Sunset. But as of now, no real news of what it will be. We do very well at the Grafton but always considering what's best for the future." [EaterWire Inbox]
WEST HOLLYWOOD: Last week we mentioned that Angelique Café founders Florence and Bruno Herve-Commereuc will open Le Saint Amour at 8575 Santa Monica Blvd., this week we have more details from Florence: "It will be similar to Angelique, but one grade higher. We will try to create more of a Parisian bistro atmosphere. It will be open for dinner also (which Angelique was not). We will have a full liquor license (which Angelique didn't have ). We will be open 7 days a week from 6:30am to 10:00 pm, midnight on week-ends. Prices will be a couple dollars higher for certain dishes, but we want to keep it affordable the way Angelique was." Look for an August 18 debut. [EaterWire Inbox]
SANTA MONICA: And again with IDG, the SM Sushi Roku is under construction to add a robata bar, kind of like an annex. It's sound a little like Katana: "It will have robatayaki plus an additional menu concept to be announced." The restaurant will remain open during construction. [EaterWre Inbox]
CENTURY CITY: While this neighborhood keeps growing with new dining choices, is it the time to sell or regroup? Some say sell. One of our favorite tipsters told us that Aphrodisiac on Santa Monica Blvd. was for sale. We called the restaurant to investigate last week, but the staffer said they're open for business, not closed. Once again, we might know something they don't: According to the ABC listing, Aphrodisiac is in escrow. Unfortunately, that's all we know. [EaterWire Inbox]
STUDIO CITY: Ok, so gay country-western bars aren't usually our beat, but we also heard that Oil Can Harry's is for sale. According to our friend, a fan: "Not sure who would care but the gays who go there." Don't sell the gay cowboy fan base short, honey. [EaterWire Inbox]
