Plywood Downtown Special: Bridge Tavern

The Los Angeles Downtown News details the comings and goings of Elizabeth Peterson, an nightlife impresario-turned-urban planner-turned-nightlife impresario. Already part owner of Bordello and Royal Clayton's, Peterson and her partner Tony Gower are set to open Bridge Tavern next month. According to the LADN:

The space, which Peterson purchased last year, is situated on the corner of Palmetto Street and Santa Fe Avenue, across from a busy tangle of railroad tracks and the concrete-clad L.A. River beyond. Designed by [Dana] Hollister, the "medieval beer garden" will have a Jimi Hendrix-meets-Masonic lodge feel with salvaged architectural items that include a castle fireplace. Bridge Tavern will feature 56 beers on tap, 40 bottled beers and 60 wines.
After Bridge, Peterson will open something speakeasy-ish at Fourth and Main in the San Fernando Building, tentatively called Harlem. Downtown: It just won't stop.
