Eater Inside: Melograno

This here is Melograno, which opened in the former Brasserie Les Voyous space in the courtyard near La Cantina and Memphis not too long ago. The owners---Piemonte native Alberto Lazzarino (Rex, Il Moro, Cheebo, Piccolo Italiano) and sommelier Giuseppe Cossu---keep the focus on Northern Italian regional cuisine (porcini mushroom barley soup drizzled with olive oil, gnocchi with butter and sage, risotto with Barolo braised radicchio and black truffle) and plan to change things up seasonally. Seating is tight in the hallway-like quarters, but when this cold/rain snap breaks, expect some lovely patio seating.
