Somewhere between the time we heard about Michael Sutton's Memphis Restaurant "reconceptualization" and right before the holidays, he decided to do a presto-changeo at the former manse and call it Jane's House. Says Metromix: Jane's House will have a French theme "much like Balthazar and Pastis in NYC," with bistro food a la small plates, so "not scare away the pro-ana bar hoppers," and the courtyard patio will look like a living room for late-night lounging. We suppose this means Memphis has been closed all this time, but the restaurant's outgoing message doesn't let on that it is; the website, however, is officially defunct. It's said Jane's House will debut this month.
