A quick check-in with the folks at Canter's: There's currently only a 10 minute wait to sit inside and about the same for the to-go counter for the 60-cent corned beef sandwich anniversary deal. (So you can get the sandwich to go, just can't call ahead for it.) Marc Canter told LAist: "We are set up to feed 7000 people from noon to midnight. 5 machines will be cutting hot Corned Beef and the Potato salad cups are all made up and pickles are sliced up and ready to go. Because we feed so many people so fast the parking thing is not a problem." So far, so not like Philippe's last week. [~ELA~]
