LA Weekly puts out its annual Best of issue today, and there's no shortage of food picks from Jonathan Gold. Maybe not the most obvious choices but quite deserved: West LA's Hiko Sushi for best sushi, Comme Ca for best burger (with Tommy's for "Best Burger for a Democratic Society"), LA Street Dog at Fab's for hot dogs, cupcakes at the Oinkster, Bulgarini for best gelato. Pretty obvious with good reason: Pizzeria Mozza for best pizza, and not just because Nancy Silverton" is a family friend." Personal favorite: Reel Inn for "best fishy puns."
