We don't have full details on this yet, but it's come to our attention that pretty much the entire Metromix dining section has been cut in this last round of layoffs at the Los Angeles Times. Metromix catered to a younger demo, but the editors put out some fun roundups, photo galleries, chef interviews, the occasional blog post, and current foodie crushes. Perhaps MM, which started online and then added a free print publication, and the Guide, which started as a print section and went to online only, will combine forces. Streamlining or just messy? You decide. [EaterWire]
