Just to show how individual tastes---even those of professional food critics---really do differ, the OC Register had its review of Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale's today. Where Miss Irene found the salads too acidic, the pates like Spam, and the chef in serious need of mentorship from the man who lends his name to the tony spot, Elizabeth Evans found the salads on-point, the quail "miraculous," the desserts "stunning and delicious," all combining to make "this Charlie Palmer live up to its name."
