MID-CITY: Who knew there even was a National Budt Day? Apparently it's tomorrow (Sat., Nov 15) and all-bundt, all the time Kiss My Bundt will have specials to celebrate throughout the day. Big Ol' Bundts are $30 instead of $32, special flavors will be offered (we hear pumpkin and/or cinnamon), and there will be lots of free sampling going around. [Eater Inbox]
BEV CTR: After 25 years Chaya Brasserie is finally getting a facelift. Last service as its current self is this Sunday (Nov. 16), and it will re-emerge tightened and taut on December 1. Look for a semi-new menu, too. [EaterWire]
TOP CHEF: The blogs weren't the only ones excited about Wednesday's Top Chef premiere; it set the all-time ratings record for the show: "The premiere of the New York edition was seen by 2.7 million viewers and earned a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49. That's up 19% among total viewers and 27% in the demo from March's fourth-season Chicago opener. At a time when every show on broadcast is suffering year-over-year declines, the snappily edited cooking competition series has managed to grow every cycle." [The Live Feed via Eater SF]
