MID-CITY: Cube on La Brea started serving wine on November 1, so naturally they need a happy hour: A special Aperitivo menu is available Mon-Sat (4pm-7pm) and includes a few wines by the glass, some crudo specials, a few hot dishes, cheese and charcuterie, and possibly fondue (sample menu). ECHO PARK: Per a tipster: "As of Tuesday, The Little Joy has been closed for Health Code Violations." Which translates to "we are painting" when you call the dive bar. Staffer says they'll open next week, "hopefully Monday." [EaterWire]
