Last night we met Jason Bernstein, one of the owners of the forthcoming Golden State, a new Cali-focused bar and restaurant on Fairfax, and he told us three very interesting things: 1) Former Rustic Canyon chef Samir Mohajer consulted on the menu which consists of homemade sausages, sandwiches and the like; and 2) because they're freinds with Tai Kim, Golden State will be using Scoops gelato, the only restaurant in Los Angeles to do so. Bernstein didn't have an exact date for the opening, but is shooting for the next couple of weeks, hopefully before Thanksgiving. [EaterWire]
