Daily Dish reports that Troy Thompson left his exec chef position at The Kress sometime last month. Thompson was the exec chef at Jer-Ne at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey for years and went east to open David Burke in Vegas, returning to open The Kress in July; of course because of delays, that was months behind schedule. Exec sushi chef Travis Kamiyama will assume all chef duties and plans "Asian cuisine in primarily sushi, grill, and wok dishes that suit the Hollywood crowd." Is that a suggeston that Thompson's menu didn't? [Daily Dish; ELA]
