The Norman's on Sunset patio was one of our favorites in town because it was sort of tucked away off of busy Sunset Boulevard, not enclosed, with comfortable furniture and well spaced, perfect for Caja China pig roasts and paella. But when Norman Van Aken closed his West Hollywood restauant, Crudo came in and put all sorts of effort into enclosing and covering the patio, which, alas, remained empty during its entire short existence. But now that Crudo will be Tony Rivera's Tony's, the patio is unsheathed once again. And there we have the lifespan of outdoor seating in LA.
