FAIRFAX: A text came in the other day that Tart at the Farmer's Daughter Motel was boarded up outside, as in closed. Our tipster wasn't surprised, since the little restaurant never quite got off the ground, and it probably doesn't help that Citysearch has the restaurant listed as closed. Answer: Not closed. A call to the hotel confirms that it's just some exterior construction, which ends tonight. Tart might be slow, but it's still a go. [EaterWire Inbox]
MID-CITY/BEV CTR: A reader queries: "Curious if you've got any advance word on what SBE might be planning for the empty lot across from Swingers on Beverly? They've got their fence up with all their logos surrounding the perimeter. Safe enough to assume what kind of (velvet robe) vibe the place will have, but still interested to learn whether it will be a restaurant or club or...?" Answer: No Club. It's just a parking lot for SBE headquarters nearby. With Foxtail opening any day now, and two new Katsuyas on the horizon, don't they have enough on their plate? [EaterWire Inbox]
