Dish: La Grande Orange Opens Tonight

Right about now, the doors to Pasadena's new La Grande Orange should be opening for dinner. It's a soft open, first night, so management is holding back on patio dining and lunch should start later this week or early next. Because the building is the the original Del Mar Depot built in 1935, Kris Keith and Spacecraft design had to keep a lot of the shell intact, so the ceilings, wall tiles, and windows are all original, but the booths, woodwork, colors, and outdoor wine bar all blend in nicely (see the whole transformation from empty to mid-construction to almost done). We don't have the final menu yet, but expect classic American, burgers, salads, sandwiches, steaks, etc. and a full bar. Opens nightly at 5pm.
