The Dish: Creperie by Jack n' Jill's, Shojin Open

New, 3 comments

It's not just Nobu/Beso week here at Eater: We have two more March 5 debuts. Are we missing something? Do let us know.

MID-CITY/BEV CTR: In what can only be described as the quickest of quick turn-arounds, Creperie by Jack n' Jill's opened in the former Michelia space, which only closed in January. This is chef/owner Robert Benson's third restaurant (he also owns Jack n’ Jill’s in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica), with a menu of savory and sweet crepes, plus sandwiches, salads, egg dishes and something called "Creole Hangover" that sounds enticing right about now. Lunch and dinner daily. (8738 W. 3rd St., 310.858.4900)

LITTLE TOKYO: The organic-Zen-vegetarian Shojin is now serving simple food "using the natural flavors of organic vegetables filled with the power of the earth without any artificial seasonings and diary products." It's located on the third floor of Little Tokyo Square. When we first heard about it, one of the owners promised it would be like M Café de Chaya "but better." Wed-Sun 12pm-9pm. (333 S. Alameda St., 213.617.0305)
