The lifespan of trendy restaurants gets shorter and shorter, certain locations are cursed, and let's say it all together now: Gimmicks just don't work. But a surprising number of LA restuarants found the winning formula, including Chaya Brasserie, Parkway Grill, Ocean Avenue Seafood, Campanile, Kate Mantilini and Grill on the Alley.
