If you can read Spanish, here's the story of the first East LA taco truck fined under the new ordinance. LA County deputies slapped La Flor de Sahuayo catering truck owner Alejandro Valdovino with a ticket earlier this week: "Yesterday, I didn't even have time to move, the police officer just arrived with a ticket in hand," (as translated by LA Now). The new ordinance went into effect on May 15 limiting trucks to 60 minutes in any one location in unincorporated areas of the county; if the owners don't comply, they can get fined up to $1,000 and even face jail time. Good thing the police have nothing better to do. [HOY via LA Taco]
