Temporary Shutter: Arnie Morton's Beverly Hills

New, 1 comment

Not to be confused with the Morton's Melrose closure ast year, Arnie Morton's The Steakhouse on La Cienega shuttered for a little Beverly Hills-style nip/tuck. From the website:

"Arnie Morton's The Steakhouse in Beverly Hills will be undergoing renovation beginning June 1, 2008. The restaurant is set to re-open fully remodeled in mid-August of 2008. The renovations will include Morton's widely popular Bar 12-21 concept with its special Bar Bites menu and a new temperature controlled wine room. During renovation, we will continue to accept bookings for periods after mid-August."
With the former Le Meridien undergoing its transformation to the SBE-owned SLS Hotel, business probably slowed; good time for a spruce up. Plus, with all that Philippe Starck style and Jose Andres conceptual menus next door, a stale Arnie Morton's just wouldn't do.
