UNIVERSAL CITY: We got word from the folks who organize Wolfgang Puck and Barbara Lazaroff's American Wine and Food Festival. Despite the fires on the Backlot, where the event is usually held, it will most likely return for the September event. Tickets go on sale July 1. [EaterWire]

BEVERLY HILLS: Pool parites are all the rage. The Blue on Blue at the Avalon Hotel now has Detox-Retox from 2pm-6pm every Sunday with special menu offerings that either help the hangover (bbq brisket sliders, corn and crab hushpuppies, sparkling pomegranate lemonade) or keep the party going (build-your-own Bloody Mary).
