Michelangelo Pizzeria Ristorante: Old and New

We knew Silver Lake's Michelangelo Ristorante was supposed to shutter on May 31 and move to the former Flor Morena on Rowena, but we noted some fairly robust business for the neighborhood resto the other day. And a reader recently saw kids skating on a half pipe on the Flor Morena roof and wondered if Michelangelo was still moving there. So we scoped it out: No half pipe on the roof this weekend, but there is an odd handwritten "Bananas!" sign; the big "Michelangelo Coming Soon" signage verifies that it is indeed still relocating there; and several construction workers were on the scene. According to a staffer, Michelangelo on SLB will officially close at the end of June and will hopefully reopen in the new location by August. Bananas, baby!
