LOS FELIZ: We had it all wrong that Cruzer Pizza was replacing the Desert Rose project on the corner of Hillhurst and Prospect; the pizza place, in fact, opened next to the new restaurant. So here we have new pictures of the forthcoming Desert Rose in all it's stained glass rose glory (previously rendered here). Someone from the Silver Lake-based Accorsi Architecture firm, the designers, commented on Eating L.A. that it will be a "relaxed, romantic atmosphere," and the stained glass and rose motif continues throughout the interior. Owner Jeff Richa tells us that the food is Mediterranean-Californian and the restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner probably in two to three weeks. As far as that rose is concerned, however, the folks at Curbed might be the thorn in Desert Rose's side.
