PASADENA: Lease issues forced Crown City Brewery to close. Open since 1988, the brewpub served its last Craftsman this weekend. Rumor has it the owners are looking for a new location. [EaterWire]
MELROSE: As mentioned before, the goth-looking Table 8 shuttered on May 31. At TON, Govind Armstrong sounded just a wee bit relieved but excited for the two new projects at hand: Turning the Melrose location into a burger joint called 8 oz and reopening Table 8 in the former Moustache/Chocolat space.
