EaterWire: Foxtail Updates, Boule BH Conundrum, New Restaurant Honors Fallen SWAT Officer

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Now that Top Chef has come and gone, time for Antonia Lofaso to focus on Foxtail again. There's a new happy hour menu Mon-Fri from 5:30pm-7:30pm with special cocktails and bar menu items (croque monsieur and madamas, steak tartare) for $9, a summer menu and a few prix fixers to choose from. And, no, you still can't get upstairs unless you're invited. (But why would you: Look who's up there.) [EaterWire]

BEVERLY HILLS: A reader queries: "Just walked to the local Boule on Bedford and at 3PM it was closed, looked like it hadn't been open at all today or maybe even yesterday. The shelves with gifts and oils, etc. looked half empty. Have they closed? I'm a regular there, stopping in once or twice a week BUT, I'm usually the only one in sight. My big complaint was that when I'd stop by to pick up something for dessert they'd rarely have enough of any one thing for a dinner for 3 or 4." Hey Myers: Anyone home? [EaterWire Inbox]

LEIMERT PARK: The family of fallen Los Angeles SWAT officer Randal "Randy" Simmons, who was killed in the line of duty in February, opened a Creole restaurant, New Orleans Vieux Carré Creole Cuisine, over the weekend. Proceeds from the restaurant will go a non-profit organization that focuses on education, health and wellness in his name. [The Wave]
