VegasWire: BLT Burger, Mainland, Brand Debut, Yellowtail, Christian Audigier Coming Soon

It might be blazing hot out there in the desert, but there's still much happening on the Vegas scene. (And have you seen some of the deals the hotels have going? Crazy.) Once again, we have the VegasWire because it's just like dining in our own back yard. Got a tip? Drop it here.

MIRAGE: Laurent Tourdondel's next big venture, BLT Burger, soft opens on Sunday. Former Eater correspondent John Curtas got a preview of the 200-seat, $8 million restaurant, complete with Tourondel sightings: "The burgers will take you straight back to the classic California Googie diner burgers of the 1950’s, albeit with substantially better beef." [Eating L.V.]

PALAZZO: The final restaurants are finally debuting over at the Venetian's sister property. The latest is Mainland in the Shoppes at Palazzo, Jonathan Morr's (BondST NY and LA) new Asian noodle concept. Once again, from Curtas: "Mixing in a groovy decor and channeling a Mao-meets-Elvis vibe is also a real plus...What really caps this place though, is the fact that it's the only restaurant in the Palazzo that mere mortals can afford." Also, Sushisamba opened at the Shoppes a couple weeks ago. [ELV]

BELLAGIO: Yellowtail, the new swank sushi spot from the Light Group, looks to be coming along nicely (fully rendered here). Note progress in the snap above; we're told it should debut in July. The Light Group also has Fix and the nightclub Bank at the resort. [EaterWire]

MONTE CARLO: The Light Group also opened Brand Steakhouse right smack dab in the center of the MC casino. [EaterWire]

TREASURE ISLAND: Now that the Pure Group's IRS problems are behind them (we think), they're set to debut Christian Audigier The Nightclub in the former Tangerine space at TI. The name doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but partner Audigier is in fashion, so of course his name has to be on the marquee. He's known for a rock-and-roll, glam style which translates to roses, skulls, crystals, red velvet, black and red mirrors, and giant jellyfish tanks in the club. It overlooks the Strip, that is after you look passed the Sirens of TI pirate show, and opens July 4 weekend. [EaterWire]
