Bryan Ogden, Pussycat Dolls Take Over Former Pearl

New, 6 comments

Chef Bradley Ogden is known for using seasonal, market-friendly, organic wholesome ingredients in all of his restaurants, including his eponymous room at Caesars in Vegas which we've had the pleasure of dining at several times. His son Bryan Ogden has been the chef at the Vegas outpost for years, but he's on his way to LA, West Hollywood to be exact. Partnering with actress Allison Melnick and Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin, he'll help open Apple Restaurant & Lounge and a Pussycat Dolls Lounge in the former Pearl space on Robertson Boulevard sometime this summer.

When Pearl shuttered owner Steve Marlton was to open a Mexican-Japanese fusion restaurant M/X and then Butter, but neither panned out. According to the NRN Foodservice blog, there will be three different entrances for the resto and lounges, the Apple Lounge is intended as "an exclusive VIP nightlife destination," there will be Pussycat Dolls performances and live jazz at another lounge. As for Ogden, he plans the same kind of food he's always known for all three venues, which seems a bit incongruous, no? Organic, seasonal...burlesque? How are all of these people connected, you ask? There's a Pussycat Doll Lounge at Pure, also at Caesars in Vegas. Perhaps they hashed out these plans in the staff dinng hall.
