CULVER CITY: So after months and months of tracking, the boys behind Rush Street are finally ready to debut their new Chi-town-inspired bar and restaurant: After a series of friends & family dinners and an invite-only grand opening soiree, the official public opening for dinner only, Saturday, July 12; lunch and late-night menus to follow. We're told there's some really cool art (one of the owners is co-founder of Bergamot Station), and we already knew about the large bar (maybe not "the biggest in Culver City" but big) and a rooftop lounge. Adding to the CC Bar Hop Shuffle, expect signature fresh-fruit cocktails, microbrews, wines, plus updated bar food from chef Dave Northrup. It's amazing to us to think when Ford's Filling Station opened on that lonesome stretch across the way, and now when you look at it, the whole street's full. The same is about to happen to this side of Washington Boulevard with Santa Maria BBQ to the west, and Gyenari and Chiptle about to open to the east.
