In case you haven't heard, Sam Zell mandated some serious cutbacks at the Los Angeles Times and some of our regular dining/nightlife reading will be affected. The Guide, which was a part of the Calendar section and then morphed into The Guide, will stop the print edition after July 24 and will remain online-only. Of course, the Magazine was cut last month (where former Food section editor Leslie Brenner was "acting editor"), and no details yet, but there may be changes in the Food section, too. The result: Blogs take over the world. [LAO]
