Gyenari in Culver City: A Sneak Peek

New, 3 comments

Now that the Chipotle and Rush Street are open (today and tomorrow, respectively), it's time to check in the status of Gyenari for the Culver/Washington trifecta. These snaps were taken last night, so it's difficult to see everything, but, oh, look at that glowy yellow bar. Space looks pretty big, and it will be interesting to see if they can fill it on a regular basis, especially with so many other spots just steps away. However, two parking garages were full last night, the new valet lines extremely long, and even Ugo was packed (it's always packed, we know, but it's just so damn mediocre), so maybe you really can't have too many dining options for the CC crowds. Gyenari will have Korean food with California and other Asian influences and minimalist decor. Reps for the restaurant won't divulge the debut date but say it's been "delayed" and is expected to open towards the end of the month. What's interesting about that is this for sale listing on LoopNet. On the market before it's even open? Yeah, that could cause some delays. The property owner assures us the restaurant is not for sale, only the building; the LoopNet listing mentioned Gyenari by name, but it's since been changed to address only. We repeat: Gyenari not for sale, still opening in a couple weeks. Sorry for the confusion!
