Schultzie's news that Starbucks will close 600 stores affecting more than 11,000 employees is starting to make the baristas a bit nervous, according to the Wall Street Journal. They're on edge because HQ has only notified 50 stores that will close by July 31 and won't publicly identify more until the closing dates near. Starting in August, the company will disclose a new list of closing stores at the beginning of each month; it's said California and Florida will be hardest hit. The WSJ has a map of confirmed closings (by employees, not corporate), and here's the official interactive map of stores around the greater LA area---you can watch them pop like little bubbles as time goes on. Of course, if you know of a Starbucks shuttering, do drop us a line. [WSJ; previously]
